Misconceptions about my fitness journey…
People look at my body and assume that I was built in the gym. I have gained a lot of the muscle from weight lifting, but my best transformation happened during 2020 when gyms were closed and I was working out from home.
Not only did I lose 4% body fat, I actually gained a significant amount of muscle while training raw strictly body weight movements with light bands. Better yet, the chronic pain in my back and knee completely decreased when I started focusing on strength training with primal movement modalities.
The decreased load on my body made me feel light mobile, flexible and free in my body. Learning how to move without being dependent on a gym and using methods like Raw Functional Training, Animal Flow, dance, and mixed martial arts was also so empowering! I was not only losing weight and building muscle but I was having FUN. Plus, keeping my routines while traveling also became so much easier.

Lobo is a functional movement specialist and award winning performing artist with multiple certifications such as - Animal Flow L2 (AF), Raw Functional Training (RFT) L2, Weck Method’s Rotational Movement Training (RMT), and Dance Theater (Odin Theater). As an alumni of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and Stella Adler Studio and his professional experience as an actor, contemporary dancer and filmmaker, Lobo approaches training and self development as an art form. His unique training system is an alchemy of different modalities for the body, mind, and spirit that align and sustain a heightened vibrational state.
